On September 1, 2022, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California in Behring Regional Center LLC and IIUSA v. Mayorkas, et al., 3:22-cv-2487, and EB5 Capital, et al. v. Dept. of Homeland Security, et al., 3:22-cv-3948, approved a settlement between the parties. Under the terms of the settlement, representatives of USCIS must participate in quarterly meetings with representatives of the plaintiffs to discuss implementation of the settlement. In accordance with the transparency provisions of Sec. 107 of the EB-5 Reform and Integrity Act of 2022, USCIS will make minutes of these meetings publicly available through publication on the USCIS website.

During this engagement, USCIS shared a brief overview of the military naturalization and family-based immigration process, and shared best practices on how museums and libraries can partner with USCIS to promote this information. This webinar was presented as part of the federal partnership with the Institute of Museum and Library Services, to provide citizenship and immigration information to library and museum professionals.
