SAVE users are invited to participate in our upcoming listening session:SAVE Registration and Account Management, Jan. 17 from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Eastern.The listening session is an opportunity to provide feedback on your user experience with the registration and account management processes. The session is not a forum to develop group opinions or recommendations. User input will help us continually improve the SAVE program.The session is open to all SAVE users, including Web Services. You must pre-register to attend. We will send a confirmation email and invitation for the session to the email address you provide. Space is limited, so register early.We will be using the Cisco Webex platform. Documentation and SAVE Verification for Family Reunification Parole Process for Ecuador

This announcement provides information about documentation and the SAVE verification process for individuals who are paroled into the United States under the Ecuador Family Reunification Parole Process, which permits nationals of Ecuador and their immediate family members to be paroled on a case-by-case basis for up to three years.
Important Update on SAVE Records Disposal
December 13, 2023
SAVE is requesting agencies re-run their Historic Records Report because the original report in a June 2023 Records Disposal message was incomplete.The revised report is now available and SAVE is extending the records disposal date. User agencies wishing to retain SAVE historical records have until Mar. 12, 2024, to download case information for SAVE cases that are more than 10 years old and dated on or before Dec. 31, 2013.For information and guidance on downloading the Historic Records Report, please see the SAVE Instructions to Download Historic Records Report Tip Sheet (PDF, 432.15 KB).Please send any questions or concerns to your SAVE Agency Relationship Manager at SAVERegistration@uscis.dhs.gov.
Some EADs Can be Valid for up to 5 Years

USCIS increased the maximum validity period to five years for initial and renewal Employment Authorization Documents (EADs) issued to the following categories of noncitizens:Refugees (A03);Noncitizens paroled as refugees (A04) (up to 5 years not to exceed length of parole);Asylees (A05);Recipients of withholding of removal (A10);Applicants for asylum or withholding of removal (C08);Applicants for adjustment of status (C09); andApplicants for suspension of deportation or cancellation of removal (C10).This updated policy guidance applies to any Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization, currently pending or filed on or after Sept. 27, 2023.Previous USCIS guidance provided for either a one- or two-year maximum validity period for these EAD categories.For more information, see this USCIS News Alert.

Password Reset Is Now Easier In SAVE!

SAVE has updated its password reset process to enhance the security of user accounts. Users will now request a password reset message to be sent to the email address associated with their User ID. 
SAVE Additional Verification Response Time Update
October 13, 2023
The additional verification response time for October 2023 is now 15 federal workdays, an improvement from an average of about 36 federal workdays in September 2022. Response times vary depending upon the complexity of the case. Cases that require additional information or submission of a document may require additional time. 
TPS Cameroon Extended and Redesignated for 18 Months; EADs Automatically Extended Through Dec. 7, 2024

Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas extended and redesignated Cameroon for Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for 18 months, from Dec. 8, 2023, through June 7, 2025.  
Redesignation and extension of Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for Venezuela.

Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas recently announced the redesignation and extension of Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for Venezuela.  Venezuela is redesignated for TPS from Oct. 3, 2023, through April 2, 2025, for new applicants under the 2023 designation.  For existing beneficiaries under the 2021 designation, TPS for Venezuela is extended from March 11, 2024, through Sept. 10, 2025.
